 Gerald Syred |
Principal Instructor Gerald Syred began boating as a child on the Norfolk Broads, he started canal boating in 1981 when with a group of friends he hired a boat from Stratford upon Avon. Since then Gerald has boated on the British Canals including the Union Canal and The Falkirk Wheel as well as the Canal Du Midi in Southern France. Gerald is a keen scuba diver and also has an interest in Inland and Costal power boating. When he is not out “playing” with boats Gerald is employed as the companies Marine Engineer. |
 Gary Baxter |
Gary Baxter began boating in 1992. He has extensively cruised the British Canal & River network including the river Thames, Llangollen Canal and Leeds & Liverpool as well as the Union and Forth & Clyde canals. Further a field his travels have taken him to the Canal Du Midi. Gary qualified as a helmsman Instructor in 1997. He has an interest in Inland power boating. When he is not working as a boat builder and painter he can be found on his Triumph Tiger motorcycle. |
| Alan Stimpson became a boat builder in 1981 and has been involved in narrow boating ever since. He enjoys power boating and has also done a serious amount of canal cruising including bringing a company boat home from the 1987 IWA Festival at Hawkesbury Junction and cruising on the Nene and river Great Ouse. | |
